Why we're playing

This fall, our community lost a husband, a dad, and a friend. Katie and the girls are carrying more than any family should have to.

We can't fix that. But we can show up. The Tater Tot Open is a chance for friends, neighbors, and local businesses to spend a morning on the course and take some of the weight off their shoulders.

Why "Tater Tot"? It's the nickname of the youngest of the two girls. Everyone who knows her knows exactly why.

Questions

Who does this support?
Katie, Kenzie, and Tater Tot. After direct event costs, every dollar raised goes to them.
Is my entry or sponsorship tax-deductible?
No. This is a benefit for a family, not a registered charity, so payments aren't tax-deductible as charitable contributions. Businesses may be able to treat a sponsorship as advertising. Check with your tax advisor.
What does my entry include?
18 holes with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start, breakfast, lunch, and range balls. $200 per golfer or $800 per foursome.
I'm a single golfer. Can I still play?
Absolutely. Register as a single and we'll put you with a group.
How much of my money goes to the family?
About half of each registration covers the course. Sponsorships and donations go almost entirely to the family, less card processing fees. If a sponsor covers the course, every registration dollar goes to the family too.
How is the money handled?
All funds go into one dedicated account with two signers, used only for this event. No money passes through anyone's personal account. After the tournament, we'll share a summary of what was raised, what it cost, and what went to the family.
My company needs an invoice. Can you send one?
Yes. Email info@tatertotopen.com and we'll take care of it.
Who's organizing this?
A group of friends of the family. Reach us any time at info@tatertotopen.com.
